About the lecture
Since time immemorial we have wondered whether we are alone in the universe. With each passing day, the answer seems closer. Over the last twenty years we have discovered thousands of planets orbiting other stars in our Galaxy: at first only gas planets; today, planets similar to our Earth, like those sought by the CARMENES spectrograph at Calar Alto Observatory. In this talk we will take a short journey through some milestones of exoplanet discovery
